Couples counselling helps you understand the communication patterns that keep you stuck — recurring arguments, long silences, emotional distance, or broken trust — and replace blame with curiosity and repair. The focus is on building a shared language, listening more effectively, and reconnecting as partners, not as opponents. Sessions are held online and are designed for both partners to attend together, from a private space that works for your schedules. Early on, we clarify each person’s hopes and fears, map the relationship history that matters now, and agree on ground rules (respect, turn-taking, pausing when needed) so difficult topics can be approached safely. Over time, we may work on empathy and affection, conflict de-escalation, rebuilding trust after betrayal or major breaches, or negotiating practical loads (parenting, work, extended family). Progress depends on the issues you bring and the consistency of practice between sessions; steady change is most likely when both partners engage actively. If one of you is hesitant, it is still possible to start with a short introductory conversation or email questions to reduce uncertainty. The aim is a relationship where both people feel heard, respected, and emotionally safer.
